Sonic Bloom‘s eighth year was not only its most important as a festival, but our favorite year so far. The event redefined itself as a “boutique” festival and looked past big name-draw headliners to allow many up-and-comers to enjoy the sold-out spotlight. But as much positive energy occurred on the first three days, the fourth was marred by tragedy that addressed the strength of the community Sonic Bloom had spent years to build.
Camp Bisco :: 2013
Probably the top East Coast priority of the Summer 2013. Entering its 12th year, Camp Bisco is ready to show the world why it stands among the elite music festivals in the country. With headliners including The Disco Biscuits, STS9, Umphrey’s McGee, Bassnectar and more!
Lightning in a Bottle :: 2012
As Burner culture overflows its own capacity and people seek a similar experience elsewhere, Lightning in a Bottle has become one of the most successful small-scale festivals to capture its friendly, holistic vibe (barring those festivals such as Symbiosis the week before, which recreated the entire experience from the desert up). Headliners included Bassnectar, Big Gigantic, Tipper, EOTO, The Glitch Mob, and many more, as well as a highly impressive Funktion-One transmission center known as the Woogie Stage that consistently threatened to steal the spotlight.
SnowBall Music Festival
The pride and joy of Colorado’s winter music lovers, SnowBall Music Festival delivers each and every time. With 2013 being its third year in action, SB left us with an amazing love for music, art and snow!
